Chahal had scored 135 and 46 against Himachal Pradesh U19s

Yuzvendra Chahal is also one of the best spinners you’d see going around in the international format. As a member of the Indian team, he has done exceedingly well in the limited-over format over the past few years. However, there is one thing that the leg-spinner can’t really improve. And that is his batting skills. In 9 ODI innings, he has managed just 49 runs, while he only scored 5 runs in 4 T20s.

Recently, Chahal’s IPL franchise Royal Challengers Bangalore left everyone surprised by revealing that the spinner was quite good at batting in his U19 days. The stats of one game shared by the Bangalore-based outfit read that Chahal had scored a hundred in a match during the Cooch Behar Trophy. Also, he had scored 135 and 46 against Himachal Pradesh U19s in Bengaluru. Along with this stat, the franchise also asked the leggie if he wants to bat up the order now.

It must have been an exhibition match: Virat Kohli

“DID YOU KNOW: @yuzi_chahal scored 135 & 46 in the first & second innings respectively vs Himachal Pradesh U19s in the 2008/09 Cooch Behar Trophy in Bengaluru! He scored a total of 281 runs in the tournament! Fancy playing up the order, Yuzi?” the caption of the post read.

After seeing the post on Instagram Chahal commented, “Virat Kohli, scared for losing your no.3 spot bhaiya?”. Soon after, RCB skipper Virat Kohli posted a hilarious comment to troll Yuzvendra Chahal. Kohli commented that it might have been an exhibition match, and he also added a laughing emoticon at the end.

Previously, Chahal has jokingly asked Virat Kohli’s wife Anushka Sharma to help him with opening the batting for India. The spinner said Virat might listen to Anushka’s suggestion and that can help him in opening the batting.

“Next time bhabhi please say Chahal ok opening Kara na Chahal ko I wish aapki sun le,” Chahal had commented on one of Anushka Sharma’s post.
